 There's little room for Christmas jollity when you have several series' worth of stories to complete. So how did the Doctor do?
 This year's Christmas Doctor Who was never going to pause and sniff the mulled wine. There are stories that need completing, fireworks to set up; the End of Time means No End of Plot. We've had the Ood – I find them harder to take seriously since seeing the cover of Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, but maybe that's just me – prophesying doom. We've had a ghostly Claire Bloom talking in riddles to Bernard Cribbins. We've had the Doctor facing up to death with enough fear in his eyes to make you almost forget about them filming his next incarnation. We've had one very sinister close-up of Timothy Dalton. Most of all, we've had John Simm's Master, brought most of the way back to life with unpredictable new powers and an appetite that has him more or less literally chewing the scenery.   Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively is set to star in the new comic book superhero movie, Green Lantern. The 22-year-old blonde star is being lined-up to play the love interest of the main character Hal Jordan - who is played by Ryan Reynolds. However, Blake reportedly faces stiff competition for the part as Jennifer Garner, Diane Kruger and Eva Green are also in the running. A source said: "Blake would be amazing in this role. She has a busy 2010 promoting The Town, but she would love to play a part in a superhero film." Green Lantern tells the story of Hal Jordan, an ordinary man chosen by an alien to receive an energy ring that can be used to protect the planet. Filming is due to begin in 2010, with a rumoured summer 2011 release date.   Lady GaGa was spotted with a mystery man in a nightclub in Los Angeles and the duo got too cozy to be called “just friends”, reports ContactMusic. Lady GaGa and her unnamed man were seen partying at the Hyde nightclub at the Staples Center. GaGa was getting very intimate to this man. The couple was spotted in the club’s VIP section. As reported by E! Online, they had more than seven bottles of champagne. According to one source, “She was in a typical over-the-top get up, this time with silver studs, and her beau was in a jacket that matched the look. They sipped on Veuve (champagne) throughout the night.” Lady GaGa was previously linked with a businessman named Speedy but the relation didn’t last for long and came to an end in early 2009. Hope this mystery man finds a more concrete place in Lady GaGa’s heart! Lady GaGa had earlier denied having any romantic link-ups saying that she was busy enough in her world of music to have a partner! May we ask if she is not busy anymore?   Charlie Sheen was released from jail after being arrested on domestic violence charges Friday morning. The Two and a Half Men star was booked at 11:20 a.m. for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, according to a spokesperson for the Pitkin County Sheriff's Department in Aspen, Colo. Sheen, 44, posted an $8,500 bond Friday evening, and was released from jail at 7 p.m. The actor is due in court next on Feb. 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Earlier in the day, police received a 911 call regarding a domestic violence situation at 320 West Hallam Street in Aspen, Colo. Officers investigated and booked Sheen. The victim, thought to be his wife Brooke Mueller, was not transported to the hospital. ETA:  Sources say authorities gave both Charlie and Brooke blood alcohol tests. Brooke registered a .13 while Charlie registered a .04. We're also told Brooke recanted her story to a female officer just before the bail hearing, telling the cop she was drunk when she made the 911 call. Nevertheless, law enforcement sources say police will still pursue the case -- at least for now.

 I made a post yesterday detailing Vic's condition (coma after suicide attempt.) There were mixed reports on whether he passed or not (he had not, but he since has..), so I wanted to provide an update. Also people were bothered by Kristin's tweets, so I've included her eulogy for Vic. Fans of his will know he has always had money issues, so there is also a link to donate money to his family to pay for his hospitalizations and funeral. Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer, a major sponsor of Tiger Woods, publicly backed the philandering golfer on Wednesday, despite previous claims that the company would ditch him. The watchmaker initially pulled pictures of Woods from its Web sites after salacious details of alleged affairs surfaced. However, according to The Mirror, the company reposted the images on Wednesday with the headline "TAG Heuer supports Tiger Woods." TAG Heuer has called the previous removal of the photos a "supportive move." "TAG Heuer confirms today that it will continue its relationship with golf No. 1 Tiger Woods but will respect his desire of privacy by modifying his role in the coming months' marketing programs," the site stated. "Tiger Woods became a TAG Heuer brand ambassador in 2002. The relationship between the leader in prestigious sports watches and chronographs since 1860 and golf virtuoso Tiger Woods has always been extremely professional and productive." Woods is alleged to have cheated on his wife, Elin Nordegren, with close to 14 women. He has publicly admitted to past transgressions, saying, "I have let my family down." Gillete has pulled his advertisements for its razors and consulting firm Accenture ended its sponsorship deal with the golfer, stating that he is "no longer the right representative."   Actor Charlie Sheen was booked into the Pitkin County Jail on felony domestic violence charges today, authorities in Aspen said. He was arrested by the Aspen Police Department at 11:20 a.m. today. Booked under his real name, Carlos Irwin Estevez, he was arrested on charges of felony second-degree assault, felony menacing and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief, according to the Pitkin County Sheriff's Department. No details of the allegations have yet been released. Before " The Situation" took his shirt off on " Jersey Shore" -- dude used to take his pants off for anyone willing to shove a dollar in his banana hammock. TMZ has learned The Situation -- aka Mike Sorrentino -- was a member of the " All American Male" exotic dancer crew back before his reality show days. We're told The Situation worked for the group -- which gyrates from New York to New Jersey -- back in 2004. These photos were taken at a bachelorette party -- we're told The Sitch gave a "great lap dance." ( i'd deep throat him so hard )
